Conference Join the Target Technology Area 2 Conference on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 sponsored by the Education Service Center, Region 2, in partnership with the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Area 2. This year's Target Technology Area 2 Conference aims to provide educators with the latest, greatest, and most useful technology, teaching techniques, and educational products to positively impact student achievement. The conference will showcase the following strands:
Technology
Director/Network Administrator Librarian and Media Specialist Sessions will demonstrate how technology can be used to support the curriculum through the school library program.
Curriculum and Instruction Sessions will show what technology integration looks like inside the classroom. These sessions will be held in a Microsoft Windows lab. If software installation is needed, you must provide a licensed copy of the software and submit the software a minimum of two weeks prior to the conference.
Assistive Technology Presentations Sessions will show how assistive technology can be incorporated into the classroom environment to assist in tasks relating to communication, writing, reading and access.
Conference mini-sessions will be 45-minute long demonstrations that require no pre-registration. Registered participants attend these freely throughout the conference and choose from a variety of different topics presented by classroom teachers, librarians, media specialists, technology solution providers, administrators, industry experts and more.
