You won't want to miss the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Area 2 Technology In Action Conference. This information filled one-day conference aims to provide all Region 2 educators with the latest, greatest, and most useful teaching techniques and educational products to positively impact student achievement. Last year's conference held in November 2007 attracted approximately 300 attendees and 40 vendors.

Saturday, November 8, will offer exhibitors the opportunity to highlight their products and services to 400+ educators in the Coastal Bend. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to partner with teachers and librarians who can demonstrate how to use their products effectively in the classroom to achieve student success during 5 available mini-sessions.

You will have the opportunity to sponsor refreshments, conference luncheon, program booklet and door prizes!

Where can I find information about presenting?

If you are interested in hosting a mini-session to help conference attendees understand how to implement your product in the classroom, you are welcome to present. However, we require that you invite a teacher or librarian to co-present with you. The benefit of having a teacher co-present is that our conference attendees can learn how to implement your product into their curriculum first-hand from another educator.

What happened to the Tech Expo that was previously hosted in January?

The partnership between the Texas Computer Education Association Area 2 and the Education Service Center, Region 2 have made the conference that was previously known as the "Tech Expo" a much stronger and larger event. The scheduling changes (moving it to November and having it on a Saturday) have allowed more educators from more districts to participate. This is the 3rd year that the Education Service Center, Region 2 has partnered with the Texas Computer Education Association Area 2 to host this technology conference.
